This blog features paying calls for fiction submissions, and occasionally non-fiction and poetry. I strive to ensure all submission calls are open to LGBTQIA characters and themes.

From Lethe Press (http://www.lethepressbooks.com/call-for-submissions.html):
HIS SEED: MAN/PLANT EROTICA
No, we’re not joking. We are seeking strange and homoerotic tales of men and plants. We want to read about the trysts of the Green Man and male dryads. Give us carnivorous plants trying to devour Tarzan. If people can write and sell books about dinosaur billionaires having their way with the intern, imagine what a really good writer could do with a fern and a few good men!
Stories should be 1,500 to 6,000 words long. Payment is 5 cents a word upon publication. Stories should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject HIS SEED SUBMISSION. We’ll be choosy about reprints and pay less for them (unless they are very good trimmings).
The deadline is December 31st. 2015

This blog is queer-friendly. I strive to ensure that all submission calls I post are open to works with queer/LGBTQIA characters and themes. I do this by checking the publisher's back catalog, submissions policies,or business practices, or by communicating with the publisher directly.
Please contact the publisher through the links in the post if you have questions about a submission call. Contact me if you've had a bad experience with a publisher featured here.
